Enfield Music Service - Beat Goes On

E-Resources - Satellites

We're excited to announce our new filmmaking competition, specially created to help children make the most of their time during lockdown.

Nature in Your Neighbourhood offers a fulfilling and creative project that young people aged 5 to 19 can complete within their schools or homes - plus a chance to win fantastic prizes including filmmaking equipment.

We are delighted to be launching Click & Sing, a family-friendly online singing session.

Every Wednesday, from 6:00-6:30pm we are inviting the Enfield community to come online and raise their voices in song.

Join us on Skype at , to sing along to some classic Abba!

Hi 💛

Man on The Moon

It is based on ‘Man on the Moon’ a ‘Space Adventure’ for 3-8 year olds and is free of charge, I have added it to our Youtube account.

10 mins – Story Time (the story is read to you)

15 mins – Drama Adventure (Children should be on their feet joining in)

2 mins – Showing you some ‘arty bits’ you can do to follow on from the theme.

You will need

·      Kitchen roll (used as a telescope – covered in foil if you wish)

·      Strips of paper stuck together (fire for the rockets)

I show you an example of these after the storytelling.

Video Link (Please share with anyone else who may be interested)

Please like/subscribe to the page as I hope to add more in the future.

If you take any short videos/pictures of the children joining in, it would be great if you could share them with me J  or tag us on social media.

If you have any suggestions of themes/ what your children are particularly enjoying at the moment, please share with me and I will see if I can do something for you.

Older children

Unfortunately, it is really difficult to get drama across in a video format for the older children in KS2 (Age 8-11). The sessions are always so interactive with other peers and the teachers. I did send the monologues a couple of weeks back, so if they haven’t had a go with those, it would be a great way to get them into some acting!

My version is on our FB and Instagram account (if you’d like to have a little laugh!)

I hope this video breaks up the day for you and you get some time while the children join in!

Stay Safe,

Family Home Learning Activity

From this week on your timetable you will see that there is a ‘Family Home Learning Activity’ section. We realise at this time, more than ever, that having your family around you is very precious. Therefore, we are suggesting some activities which the whole family can do together – they will generate discussion, require teamwork and hopefully fill up the time at home with fun.

As some families are happy to stay indoors, we are suggesting one indoor activity, which can be complete while staying at home and one outdoor activity, which can be achieved while out during daily exercise. Some of the activities suggested may be able to be done inside or outside. We hope you all enjoy taking part in these activities and we look forward to seeing your finished work as you can always email the teachers a photo of the family’s creation. Stay safe everyone!

Get Creative with Classical Music

You will find weekly activities for families to share at home. You will find a Ten Pieces film to watch and enjoy and a linked creative activity that can be completed by children at home without any special materials or preparation. A perfect, simple and easy way to keep listening, enjoying and creating music at this time.
