In the last week of term we will be inviting each of three Year 6 classes separately back into school in order to say ’Goodbye‘ and ’Good Luck‘. This will give the children the chance to see each other before they go off to their secondary schools, collect their books, PE kits and any other resources which are in school. We are planning a socially distant gathering on the field where we will provide snacks and drinks and a few gifts. Parents are asked to drop off and pick up their children at the times stated below in order to limit the number of people on the school site.
Monday 13th July: 6J Class 3.45-4.45pm - meet on the field
Tuesday 14th July: 6P Class 3.45-4.45pm – meet on the field
Wednesday 15th July: 6M Class 3.45-4.45pm – meet on the field
To confirm your child's attendance please call the school office 02088041818 .
We would also like to produce a clip celebrating each child‘s time at Galliard, similar to the dance compilation which the teachers produced during lockdown. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4azSxfRXtOc for the teachers‘ example. If you wish your child to take part, send a short video of them dancing, doing sport etc (20 seconds maximum) to their class teacher’s email by Monday 13th July. The finished piece will be emailed to you after editing. By sending in the video you are giving permission for your child to be included in this unique reminder of their time at Galliard. The song we have chosen to accompany the video is ‘Blinding Lights‘ by The Weekend.
