📖 Parent Partnership 📓

One of our parents read stories to Butterfly class. The children really enjoyed this interactive session with puppets. Thank you so much!'

🌱 Parents Help Gardening in Nursery 🌻

A big thank you to the parents that came to the Nursery to plant with the children this week.  They worked really hard to prepare the planting beds and made it a fantastic experience for the children.  The children were so excited to dig and plant with their parents and also learnt a lot about gardening.  We wait with anticipation to see the seeds start to grow.

📖 World Book Day Celebrations 🌍

In Nursery we celebrated the joy of reading and the power of books. We had practitioners reading books to children and children retelling stories. We were reciting our favourite poems and making up our own stories. We had a parade in the garden to show off our fantastic costumes. Each child received a book token to continue a wonderful journey of reading.

Nursery - Playing and Discovering

We are becoming really confident to build.  We are starting to take risks and already have well developed physical skills.  Look how good we are at balancing!

We love mark-making and are developing our fine motor skills and pencil grip.

We have been leaving trays of water out over-night and playing with the ice the next day.  When the sun came out the ice started to melt and we made potions in the mud kitchen.

We have discovered that we can roll cars and balls down the water chute.  They made a big splash when they landed in the water tray!

My teachers know that I am interested in dinosaurs and they gave me information cards so I can learn even more.

🦖1, 2, 3, Do the Dinosaur🦕

We have been loving our '1,2,3 do the Dinosaur' book and explored lots of dinosaur related activities, such as making fossils out of salt dough or creating dinosaur footprints.

We have been acting out '1,2,3 do the Dinosaur' story and made our own versions. Every child received their own copy of the book to share with their families at home.
