School Updates & Information - COVID-19
WEEKLY COVID UPDATE (w/b 17th January)
We have now been made aware of 16 positive cases at Galliard. Children in the following classes have tested positive.
The children are currently isolating for 10 days.
We also have 8 members of staff who have tested positive and are isolating.
As you will see from our letter below, following new guidelines, other children in the classes do not need to isolate. However, we would ask all parents, particularly those who have children in the classes above to watch out for their children displaying any of the Covid-19 symptoms. If you are concerned, then please book a PCR test for your child. Alternatively, you can take a lateral flow test although this will need a follow up PCR test to confirm if it is positive. If this is positive please inform school and your child will have to isolate for 10 days.

RAPID LATERAL FLOW TESTING
Households of all school pupils can get a twice-weekly test at a rapid lateral flow test site. These tests are for people who do not have any symptoms of Covid-19, but can identify if you may be infectious. You will get results in 30 minutes.
They are an important tool in helping to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Click here for information where you can have these tests done or where to collect them from to do at home.
